Daniel Farkas RMT

**Please note Daniel is only comfortable treating pre-natal clients in their 1st trimester and post-natal.

After a traumatic childhood injury, subsequent chronic pain and anxiety, Daniel turned to holistic/alternative methods in order to heal, which included massage. Daniel believes massage is an effective way to regain body awareness, reduce pain and manage stress.

Daniel has been registered massage therapist (RMT) since 2014 after graduating from VCMT’s last 3300 hour program.

As a male therapist, Daniel strives to provide all clients with a gentle yet therapeutic massage. Although he can provide a firm/deeper massage, once the tissues are warmed up, he wants to treat accordingly to your pain/pressure tolerance/preference. Daniel’s intuition, sensitivity, and compassion helps him relate to clients.

Daniel incorporates myofascial release (feels like stretching but affects the connective tissues) with some trigger point therapy (similar to pressure points) along with deep swedish massage and joint mobilizations to promote balance in the body. Assisted stretching and strengthening may be used during the treatment. Appropriate homecare and referrals are given when necessary to extend the benefits of the massage.

Daniel believes in treating the body in whole, rather than one area so an hour treatment is recommended.
45 minute treatments are preferred for follow up or treatment of less complex cases.

He treats a wide range of conditions but not limited to anxiety, TMJ disorder, scoliosis, whiplash, headaches, postural or core imbalance, and chronic disorders. He especially likes treating the neck and is passionate treating MVA and concussion clients.

Daniel is available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and the occasional weekend.
